This project at Modbury Hospital was strategically aimed at enhancing patient care accessibility and modernising the hospital’s design to align with contemporary healthcare models. We were subcontracted to work on the walls and ceilings high-priority areas, alongside significant infrastructure and building services enhancements. The scope of work extended to refurbishments within existing structures and new construction.
Given the complexity and scale of the project, it was expedited and executed in multiple stages. Remarkably, the entire 13,000 m2 scope of work was situated directly above, adjacent to, or beneath areas of the hospital that remained fully operational during construction. This posed unique challenges, requiring meticulous planning and close coordination with hospital stakeholders. Our approach was centred on minimising disruption to the hospital’s ongoing operations, ensuring that healthcare services could continue uninterrupted while we advanced the construction and renovation work.
This undertaking not only demonstrated our capability to manage and execute large-scale, complex projects in sensitive environments but also reinforced our commitment to enhancing healthcare infrastructure while prioritising the continuity of essential medical services.”
